These schools are specially designed and structured to provide English classes to those who need them. Many International students, immigrants and visitors enroll in these schools to learn or improve their English language skills.

Even old residents who have come from a non-English speaking background attend these schools as a way of improving their English language abilities. The reason to improve the English skills could be either to have a better understanding of their university course or to improve their communication skills for a job role.

These institutions offer full-time and part-time courses to suit different needs of the people enrolled. Students can also choose the course that is combined with their specific skills such as hospitality, retail etc.

For many international students who come from non-English speaking background, their university post-graduate course requires them to enroll in one of the English courses offered by these schools as a pre-requisite.
